Valentine’s Day. You either love it or you hate it.
Ok, so maybe it’s not that easy. I hate it because it’s just so commercialised. The price of roses (and flowers) go up 1000%, chocolates are also overpriced, discount vouchers are not valid at restaurants! And my husband shouldn’t be told that he can only show his love for me on this specific day. He can show me all the other 364 days as well! 😂
But, I also love Valentine’s Day. I’m a girly-girl at heart. I love pink, I love hearts, I love flowers! And I’m not going to say no to receiving flowers and chocolates either! I have such mixed feelings about this day!
In my bullet journal, I’ve always had some sort of Valentine’s theme for February. Whether it’s a subtle romantic theme or in your face hearts and flowers! Here I’ve rounded up some cute ideas that you can put in your bullet journal if you want a Valentine’s Day theme in you journal.
Valentine’s Cover Page/Welcome Pages
Let’s start at the beginning with some beautiful welcome pages. These typically involve lots of hearts and flowers and some beautiful hand lettering!
This beautiful but simple page by @pens.paper.planning is created by using either a brush pen or a Zebra mildliner to write the month, and then outlining it with a fine liner. Add a mini calendar, some baby hearts and cute stickers to complete the look.
This beautiful cover page by @lettering_studying_lisa is also simple to recreate. Draw yourself a large heart, add a banner and some lettering, then strings of hearts and colour in with your favourite art supplies!
Another beautiful monthly cover page by @study.beautiful. This one is not overly in your face lovey-dovey but the colours pull this theme together.
I love this idea of welcoming in the month of February with a love letter! This creative idea is from @houseandhillbnb
Valentine’s Themed Monthly Logs
I’m sure almost everyone has one of these in their monthly set-up. A monthly log, where you map out your whole month in advance.
Here is a beautiful time-line view monthly log created by the talented @maplebujo
I love how @dot.daze has added a touch of colour to this stunning bullet journal monthly spread!
Another beautiful and creative monthly spread by @frenchie.daily. The colourful geometric hearts gives it a Valentine’s Day theme.
One of my favourite bullet journalists on Instagram is @rozmakesplans. She keeps things very minimal but her spreads are always so beautiful and pleasing to look at.
The following bullet journal monthly log is by Christina from christina77star.net. Her blog is a fantastic source for all sorts of amazing bullet journal ideas and inspiration. Make sure you check it out!
I love the cute doodles on this bullet journal monthly log, and I especially love @malwal94_bujo‘s move away from the traditional money log format! She’s split out her events, work and personal and included a little box for notes about the next month.
